Dungeons in this world are just another naturally occurring phenomenon.
These places, made by the gods as if in play, enthrall many with their mysteries. Some of the more daring decide to become adventurers and challenge their depths. This is a story about two of these brave souls. The protagonist, and his more inexperienced companion, Nao.
The dungeon they challenge is one that sent a survey team back home after their leader was abducted by monsters. Their own survey ended similarly in defeat, after Nao was hit by a pretty nasty status ailment.
The protagonist seeks to cure Nao, and finds a clue in the writings the survey team’s leader left behind.
